What does the bible says on John Paul II being Beatified?

John Paul II was declared blessed in today's ritual, a person who died six years ago.  One of the big reasons in why he was declared blessed is because of the healing that happened after his prayer.  BBC news write, "'Appearing at a vigil on Saturday, she told the crowd: 'I was cured on the night between June 2 and June 3, 2005.  'I woke up at four in the morning and felt that something had changed in me.'"  Now understand this, in order for her to go publicly about this, and have so many people be involved, there were lot's of medical Doctors examining her case if she was right.  It would not be good for the reputation of the Religion when next morning in some local news paper someone would write how it was a fraud.

This event drew millions of people to Rome.  As the article writes, "Police in Rome estimated that one million people had come to the city for the event, including large numbers of pilgrims from the late Pope's native Poland" to publicly appear on that John Paul II beatification ritual.  Also, president Mugabe, Poland, and Mexico attended this event with "among some 90 heads of state and other dignitaries."

Some one might say, what is a Beatification? Well Wikipedia says explains it this way, "is a recognition accorded by the Catholic Church of a dead person's entrance into Heaven and capacity to intercede on behalf of individuals who pray in his or her name (intercession of saints). Beatification is the third of the four steps in the canonization process. A person who is beatified is given the title 'Blessed.'"  Now understand that this process is done by man not angels or God, it is a ritual, in that, people decided on their own according to their system--you don't even see this kind of instruction or even a hint in the Bible as something that needs to be done.

What's going on here is that the leaders or who ever in charge of this religion, decide should be done or not.  It's not like they are guided by the Bible or the Holy Spirit; bible and these people have no bond in what happened to John Paul II in beatification process, because bible is silent on this ritual–this does not mean it should take place in the first place.

Another thing to note here is the dark spot hunting them no matter where they go and what they do.  BBC news writes that people "have criticised John Paul II's handling of the Church's child sex abuse scandal."  This problem is steal real in our times, time after time, you would hear newspaper talk about a case where someone is pressing charges on the church.  Peoples faith in God were shattered as they heard that their child was abused by a person who they thought was holy.

This reminds me of the words that Jesus said:  “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in" (Matthew 23:13)

Lock Him up with the Bible & the Books

"Fling him into his office. Tear the 'Office' sign from the door and nail on the sign, 'Study.' Take him off the mailing list. Lock him up with his books and his typewriter and his Bible. Slam him down on his knees before texts and broken hearts and the flock of lives of a superficial flock and a holy God.  Force him to be the one man in our surfeited communities who knows about God. Throw him into the ring to box with God until he learns how short his arms are. Engage him to wrestle with God all the night through. And let him come out only when he's bruised and beaten into being a blessing.  Shut his mouth forever spouting remarks, and stop his tongue forever tripping lightly over every nonessential. Require him to have something to say before he dares break the silence. Bend his knees in the lonesome valley.  Burn his eyes with weary study. Wreck his emotional poise with worry for God. And make him exchange his pious stance for a humble walk with God a...
Everyone has an opinion on everything.  Even to say that I don't want to talk about this, says that their is already an opinion why not to talk about this.  Recently I had to answer some hard questions for myself, the questions that I haven't been faced before in my life, it just never needed to be answered.  I know there are more questions that I would have to answer in the future, but that time will come.  So an opinion is good, not unless it is being taken in a demanded form: this is the only way to do this, no other way is the right way. To demand something and ask it to be done, is possible—but it depends on authority that a person possess. Now biblically the authority only in the truth, no authority is in men—that's where the scripture is being tossed around to bash on those who has a different point of view.  If I don't like something, it doesn't mean that I am right and the other person is wrong, it might be the...

Why Do an Altar Call?

Altar call is described as a religious method that helps a person to confess Christ publicly. The problem with this method is that altar call is not described in the bible. When three thousand people received Christ during Peter’s preaching, most likely no one came forward to confess Christ publicly (Acts 2:41). The confession was there, yet walking forward down the aisle was not there. These days, when an alter call takes place, music is plays in the background. Preacher might say a sad story followed with a tear. Some even have counselors walk forward to motivate others to do the same. Thus, altar call is a method that is not described in the Bible leading us to question if this method should be practiced in churches at all?     Altar call began in the 1800’s. Preachers created a mourner’s bench as an area for people to walk forward when an altar call was called. The Methodist evangelists have invented this method, yet Charles Finney was the one who gave a title al...
